In 1972, he left Humble to become the head football coach at his alma mater Sam Houston State College for the 1972 and 73 seasons. After two years at SHSU, he resigned to become Director of Athletics in the Klein School District. During his 17 years at Klein, the district grew from one 4A high school to three 5A high schools (Klein, Klein Forest and Klein Oak) and the number of coaches grew from 23 to 126. My prayers and thought goes out to Coach Boren's family. IAs a member of Texas High School Coaches Association, I am privileged to have known him. He was a motivator and a winner in everything he did in the arena of athletics. Rest in peace.

So sorry for your loss.
In 1959 I was 12 years old and lived down the street from Allen and Ruby Lee in Bellville. I still have such fond memories of them. I have lived in Huntsville for 42 years and moved here one year after they left SHSU. I was so surprised to see Allen’s obituary in our local newspaper.
My parents Marvin and Beatrice (Tency) Barrett moved from Bellville and Allen Ruby Lee rented their house on Tesch St.
Praying for peace and comfort for your family. Jackie
