Arthur L. Jacoby August 13, 1931 November 7, 2017 Arthur L. Jacoby CWO2, USA (Ret.), 86, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, the 7th of November 2017.
Art was born in Northampton, Pennsylvania on August 13, 1931 to Harold B. Jacoby and Lillian Grosz. He joined the United States Army on November 28, 1949 serving in the Vietnam and Korean Wars. Art retired from the Army after 20 years on November 30, 1969. Upon his retirement from the Army, Art worked at for the Texas Department of Corrections and The Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife. He attended Sam Houston State University. Art was married for 62 years to Jeannine Chapman. Art and Jeannine moved their family to Huntsville in 1963 to accept a position in the Military Science Department at Sam Houston State University. Throughout his life, The United States Military was very important to Art, continuing his service as a Volunteer at the H.E.A.R.T.S Veterans Museum from its inception.
Surviving are wife, Jeannine Jacoby, daughter Barbara Howell, son Tim Jacoby and Tims wife, Ley Anne; daughter Brenda Jacoby and Brendas wife, Kathy Shine; 2 grandchildren Lauren and Sean Jacoby (and their mother Sherrie Jacoby) and Seans wife, Michelle; 2 great grandsons, Jackson Jacoby and Michael Jacoby and other family members. Granddaddy Art is also survived by Jordyn Denman and his pal Snowball. Art was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruth Leaser.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM, with funeral services to begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 13, 2017 in the chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:15 AM on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
