Beverly Goodbar Hansen Beverly Goodbar Hansen died peacefully on January 12, 2019. Beverly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and she will be greatly missed.

She was born January 24, 1941 in Houston, Texas. Beverly graduated from Texas City High School and Temple University. She attended Sam Houston University, Uppsala University Sweden, Cordon Bleu in London and University of Houston Clear Lake. She was a member of Daughters of the Republic of Texas, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the American Colonists. Beverly was also a long time member of the Walker County Historical Commission.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Hansen; parents Sidney and James Goodbar and brother David Goodbar. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Jennifer and Alston Boyd, Jessica and Chris Frazer and grandson Alston Boyd, V.

At Beverly's request there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in memory of Beverly to Rita B. Huff Humane Society.

Beverly's elegant and intelligent attitude toward life and people will always be remembered. The Preservation community has lost a mighty warrior for preserving the past. Her friends have lost a woman with a large heart and soul.

Beverly and I would get a kick out of how would drive her about, she would say, next time Neil I'll have a chauffeur s hat for you. She was a wonderful,smart woman that I will miss.
