Blake Berkeley Farrar was born in Houma, Louisiana on Father's Day, June 21, 1970 and returned to his Heavenly Father December 26, 2017. Blake grew up in Huntsville, Texas and Natchitoches, Louisiana and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Natchitoches. After graduation, Blake joined the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of Desert Storm.
Blake will be remembered for his easy smile, quick wit, and irrepressible curiosity. Blake is survived by his parents, Steve and Helen Farrar, his sister Adrienne Farrar and her husband John, and his nephew Jeron. Those wishing to make donations to charitable organizations in lieu of flowers please consider the OEF/OIF Program in support of returning veterans at the Michael DeBakey VA Medical Center and the Houston Council on Recovery. Arrangements for a memorial service at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church honoring Blake's life are pending and will be announced at a later date.
How can the dead be truly dead when they still live in the souls of those who are left behind?
