Bobby's Story

Bobby White, 80, passed away peacefully at home Sunday evening, June 12, 2016. He was born July 12, 1935 in Strong, Arkansas to Bud and Bell White.
Bobby attended Coin Electrical Engineering College in Chicago, IL. Bobby worked in oil field drilling, was owner of Apollo Electric in Houston, and owned a large cattle ranch in Lovelady, Texas.
Bobby loved his country and was proud to serve in the 101st Airborne during the Korean War.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters - all of Strong, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Margarett Walker White (Huntsville, TX); daughter Cynthia Hemmi (Houston); son Kerry Lane and wife Maggie (Pearland); son Martin Kent and wife Sherry (Pearland); son Bobby Alan (Crockett); and son William Cleet and wife Kristen (Barbers Hill). Step children Scott Wells and wife Robbie (Abilene); Kay Kroll (Conroe); Kelli McMahon and husband Dave (Richards); Kim Acker and husband Andy (College Station); 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held for family and friends at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 14, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church of Huntsville, Texas (1229 Ave. J). Interment will be at Ferris Cemetery on FM 1791.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Men's Ministry at First Baptist Church of Huntsville, TX.
