Charles's Story

Charles was born in Woodville, Texas on January 18, 1943 . He was one of thirteen children born to the late Amos Jack and Ida Mae Caldwell. He passed away peacefully at his residence in Huntsville, TX on December 16, 2016.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a hard worker and worked in the transportation industry as a truck driver. He was a family man and loved spending time with his family.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jack Caldwell, James Caldwell, George Caldwell, Leslie Caldwell, Carroll Caldwell. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Peggy Caldwell, children Charles Caldwell, Jr., Racheal Darsey and husband Kelly, Joyce Guerra and husband Samuel, Jenny Krug and husband Jimmy, Angela Caldwell and husband David Anderson, grandchildren Tiffany and husband Max, Sam and wife Crystal, Christian, Anna, Carlie, Brittany, Noah, Lacey, Charli, and Austin, one great-grandson Joel and there is an unborn great-granddaughter going to be named Luna. Brothers and sisters Bob Caldwell, Leroy Caldwell, Jim Caldwell, JoAnn Campbell, Betty Dabney and husband Tommy, Ruby Stitt and husband Jerry, and Myra McAdams. Numerous other relatives also survive.
Graveside service will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Dodge Cemetery with Terry Bryan officiating. Burial will follow.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 22nd at Waller-Thornton Funeral Home Huntsville from 3 to 6 PM.
