Dennis Wade (Buddy) Hosea crossed over Jordan to the arms of his Savior on July 18, 2017.
Dennis was born in Highlands, Texas on January 19, 1945, where he lived until his graduation from Houston Baptist University. After graduation, Dennis began a 30 year highly respected career in law enforcement primarily serving the cities of Irving and Bedford, Texas where he met and married his wife of almost 30 years, Teresa. Dennis retired from law enforcement in 2003, moved to Huntsville and fulfilled his lifelong dream of returning to the piney woods.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Walter F. (Frank) Hosea, his mother, Eunice Lee Wells Hosea, his brother, Wayne Hosea and nephew Grant Hosea. His love of the Lord, loyalty, giving spirit, sense of honor and of humor will be deeply missed by his sons Jonathan Hosea Sr., Steven Hosea, and James Snow, as well as Daughter-in Love, Alyson Hosea, and his precious grandchildren Taylor Hosea, Jonathan Hosea Jr., Malachai Hosea, Jacob Hosea, Gideon Hosea, Lauren Snow, Ashlyn Hosea and Saxson Hosea, as well as many friends who became family.
Godspeed my love, you will forever be the one my soul loves.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Cook Springs Baptist Church, 1936 TX-75N, Huntsville, Texas 77320. Interment will follow the service at Farris Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
