Donald O. Rogers, 74, of Huntsville Texas, passed away Sunday evening November 12, 2017. He was born July 31, 1943 in Houston, TX to Oscar and Gussie Rogers.
Donald lived the last sixteen years in Huntsville, TX and had the honor of being a deacon at Fellowship of Huntsville Church and enjoyed helping at Texas Resources. He served his country as a Navy Seabee during the Vietnam War. He was a Millwright, Pipe Fitter and jack of all trades. There wasn't anything he couldn't do or anything he couldn't fix! He loved music and spent many hours writing and singing songs. His ministry was serving and giving. His heart was as big as Texas and he would do without to give to others. He loved without condemnation and gave from the heart. His family was his number one priority and they always came first! He lived his faith in God through his love for others.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Frame Rogers and his 2 daughters and sons (in law) Bryan and Wendy Young and Tavis and Brandy Chaney. He had 7 grandchildren: Rebecca Zeine, Anthony, Brandon and DOC (Donald Oscar) Chaney and Haley, Ethan and Abby Young. He has 3 brothers: Warren Joost, Tommy Thomas and Billy Rogers. He had many nieces and nephews and friends too numerous to count. His life was well lived and will be celebrated at Fellowship of Huntsville church , Sunday November 19, 2017 at 3 pm with C.F Hazelwood officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors, Operation Finally Home or any other veteran's foundation.
DONALD LOVED WELL AND WAS WELL LOVED.
