Elizabeth "Beth" West Rusk, 91, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2017, in Round Rock, Texas. She was born November 24, 1925, in Mart, Texas, the fourth of six children. She lived in Huntsville from 1963 to 1991.
She and her husband of 65 years, G. Gerald ("Jerry") Rusk, retired to Horseshoe Bay, Texas, in 1992. In retirement, she loved the excitement of going to "the casinos". At home, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading murder mysteries, and the daily crossword. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a devoted Cowboys' fan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carrie Mae (Moore) and Alexander West; and four of her siblings: A.H. West, Annie Mae West, Edna Lassetter, and Leslie West.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Rusk; her son, Ron Rusk and wife Brenda; and her daughter Sara Rusk Cotter and husband Chris; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held at Austin Memorial Park, Austin, Texas on Saturday, October 21, 2017, the Rev. Cheryl Broome officiated.
