Howard's Story

Howard Porter Kennedy, 72, was born February 13, 1944 in Sanderson, WV. Howard was a Vietnam War veteran. He moved to Huntsville, TX 30 years ago. Howard went home to Our Lord on December 10, 2016. He passed surrounded by his loving wife and was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Howard Kennedy and Lillie Howard Kennedy, three sisters and two brothers.
Howard is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Kennedy (his honey) and his stepchildren; Christina and her husband, Floyd Peters from Jasper, TX and Robert and Tracy Owens from Hawaii and 8 grandchildren.
Howard was a US Army E6 Sharp Shooter in the Vietnam War. He served our country for 14 years and was given the Purple Heart Medal of Honors.
Howard was also a truck driver for 50 years, he loved to travel and was a member of the American Legion Post 95 - Huntsville, TX; NRA; DAV; and VFW - Trinity, TX.
The memorial service will be held at Harding Baptist Church: 28 Harding Street, Phelps, TX., Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11:30am.
