Keith's Story

Keith L. Benthall was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Fred and Lucille Farris Benthall on August 15, 1955. He went home to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 10, 2017 with complications of diabetes. He grew up in Houston and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Agriculture. He spent his adult life in Huntsville, living in the West Sandy Community. His specialty was welding, and He was instrumental in building "Big Sam," the Sam Houston Statue that artist David Addicks designed.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lee E. Benthall; his maternal grandparents, Lee E. and Eva Mae Farris of Huntsville, Texas; his paternal grandparents Fred and Lillian Benthall of Houston, Texas, and his uncle James E. Farris. He is survived by his parents, his aunt Norma Farris, aunts and uncles Eva Jean and David Callaham; Winnie and Joe Sandel, and a loving family of cousins and many friends.
Visitation for friends and family will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017
5:30 pm to 7:30 pm @ Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Farris Cemetery, Huntsville, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the Farris Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 224 Huntsville, Texas 77342.
