Lee's Story

Lee R. Anzaldua Sr. aka "pawpaw" or "Tio Lee" (Uncle Lee) was born December 22nd 1955 in Robstown TX; the son of Emilio Anzaldua (deceased) & Adela Anzaldua. Brothers of David, Edward and sister Lillian Anzaldua.
He leaves his wife of 40 years, Maria Anzaldua; children Lorraine Anzaldua; Veronica and Lee Anzaldua (deceased); Jessica Anzaldua Quintana; and Yvonne E. Anzaldua. 10 grandkids and many close family and friends.
In 1983 Lee gave himself to Christ where he then began to pastor a local church in Huntsville TX where he also resided named "Templo Cristo Rey" After some time he also took on another job and began a career for H.I.S.D. Transportation. After two decades in 2016, Lee retired from H.I.S.D. due to an unexpected illness. Six months after being admitted in hospitals Lee was diagnosed with a non-curable nuero disease; ALS also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. After a year in a half battling with this monster disease Saturday 13th 2018 Lee won his battle and gained his wings.
1 Timothy 1:15-17 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinnersof whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
A wake will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Templo Cristo Rey in Huntsville, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Templo Cristo Rey in Huntsville, Texas. Interment will follow the service at Mayes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
