Leon's Story

Leon Ray Hoyt of Point Blank, Texas, went home to the arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ on 1-October-2017 and will be forever missed. He devoted his life to Christ and we know we will someday meet again.
Leon leaves his loving wife of 55 years, Janet Dickey Hoyt; four sons, Jeffery, Timothy (Terri), Ronald (Anna) and Michael (Laura) and one daughter, Joanna (Danny) Davenport, grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brother Don Hoyt (Lois); many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-law families and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Merle; brothers: Merlin, Alton, Loyd and Howard; his grandson Robert Loyd Hoyt.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle; a Retired U.S. Army, Inventor, Author, Dental Lab Technician and Teacher, Farmer, Mechanical Engineer, Jewelry maker, Wood carver, Devoted Witness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Monday, October 9, viewing 6pm-8pm at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, TX. Tuesday, October 10, services 9am at Point Blank Community Church. Burial 2:30pm at Houston National Cemetery.
Services will be officiated by Reverend Michael Ray Hoyt.
