Letha's Story

Letha Mae Robinson Small passed away on June 16, 2017, just one month shy of her 92nd birthday. She was born on July 17, 1925 in Walker County, Texas to Patrick Hugh Robinson and Hattie Arnold Robinson. She was the baby of five children, three sisters and her beloved brother, the late Judge Frank Robinson.
Letha graduated from Huntsville High School in 1943. She was blessed with 37 years of marriage to her late husband James Small. She worked at Perry's Five and Dime. She enjoyed sewing during her free time. Later in her years she married Donnie Robison.
Letha is survived by her daughter Linda Kemp and husband Michael; son-in-law Stanley Goode; grandchildren Michael Gene Kemp, Autumn Ford and husband Monty and Virginia Baugus and husband Christopher; great-grandchildren Ashley Garcia and husband Jordon, Shelby Mitchell, Sierra Mitchell, Hudson Kemp, Olivia McCann and Nicole Ford; great-great-granddaughter Charlee Kay Garcia; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Hattie Robinson; her beloved husband James Small; daughters Patricia Small and Barbara Goode; and grandson Kreg Jamison Kemp.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, with funeral services to begin at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in the chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
