Lorraine's Story

Lorraine June Rowe Barnett, 75, of Huntsville, TX, passed away peacefully March 7, 2017, at Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
Born June 23, 1941 in Butte MT, Lorraine was a loving wife, mother of three, grandmother of six, sister of ten, friend of many, and the best cook ever.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lester Rowe, and Beatrice Geraldine Rowe Thompson; brothers Robert, Arthur, and Richard Rowe; sisters Joan Hatch, Margie Aberasturi, and Patsy Brackett; and son James Anthony Barnett.
Survivors include her husband, Bill of Huntsville, TX; son Russell of Seguin, TX; daughter Angela Murray and her husband Lonnie Murray of Colfax, NC; brother Dave Rowe of Darby, MT; sisters, Rose Johnson of Butte, MT, Shirley Hunt of Salt Lake City, UT, and Geri Dye of Dillon, MT; grandsons Gary Smock, Matthew Smock, and Elijah Murray; granddaughters Kailey Murray, Abby Barnett, and Anna Barnett; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Lorraine and Bill were married 56 years. She was a happy homemaker, cook for several public schools and grocery stores, and Meals on Wheels. Her loves in life included family, friends, serving others (especially cooking), bingo, and card games.
A Life Celebration and Memorial Service will be held at 2PM on Friday March 10, 2017 at the Chapel of Carlisle Cemetery, Carlisle, TX.
