Marvin Hubbard "Hub" Richards passed away peacefully on February 10, 2017, in Huntsville, TX, at the age of 91. He was born on May 9, 1925, in Van Zandt County, TX, to George and Corrie Richards, the seventh of eight children. After serving in the US Army postwar occupation forces stationed in Japan, he married his sweetheart, Billie Ruth Ward, and in 1949, moved to Houston, TX, where he went into a successful business partnership with his brother, Winton. Upon his retirement in 1996, he and Ruth moved to the Elkins Lake Community in Huntsville, TX, where he resided until his death. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, his parents, five brothers and one sister. He is survived by his sister, Marjorie Girmsey of Warner Robbins, GA, three sons, Randall Richards of Caldwell, TX, Barry Richards and wife Debra of Navasota, TX, and Timothy Richards and wife Patrice of Sugarland, TX, as well as five grandchildren, Amy Mills and husband Brandon, Amanda Richards, Joshua Richards, Matthew Richards, and Tyler Richards. A graveside service for family members was conducted on Thursday, February 16, 2017, by Eubank Funeral Home of Canton, TX, followed by burial at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, TX.
