Marylin's Story

Marylin Deloris Davis, 77, of Huntsville, Texas passed away on December 23, 2016 at her residence. She was born May 23, 1939 in Walker County, Texas to V.A. Davis and Minnie Lee Jordy Davis.
Marylin graduated from Huntsville High School in 1957 and attended Sam Houston State College, where she was a member of Delta Zeta.
Marylin is preceded in death by her parents V.A. and Minnie Davis; brothers Lynn Edward Davis and L.V. Davis; and sisters Hazel Davis and Louise Davis Spriggs. She is survived by her sister Betty Davis Mott and husband Wilson; brother-in-law Charles Spriggs; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, cousins; great friend and caregiver Julie Carno.
During college she worked at Modern Cleaners before going to work at Gibbs Brothers and later served many, many years at Elkins Lake.
Marylin loved spending her free time in Las Vegas at the casinos.
Pallbearers are John Gambini, Ronnie Gambini, Ricky Spriggs, Howard Davis, Lynn Warren Davis, Louis Davis, Thomas Mott and Gary Mott.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 30, 2016 with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Interment will follow at Adickes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
