Miriam A. Cauthern

Miriam Audra Cauthern, born April 26, 1925 in Shiro, Texas, passed peacefully on January 26, 2019 in the Woodlands, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Edgar Cauthern; son Tommy Bridges; parents, Grover Cleveland Wilson and Audra (Hurry) Wilson; brothers James Wilson, Adrian Wilson, Vernon Wilson, Cleveland Wilson, and Charles Wilson.

She is survived by her niece, Pam (Wilson) Martin (Neal); nephew Mark Wilson; niece Linda (Wilson) Martinez; niece Pam Morton and family; nephew Tony Walton (Leah), and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Miriam and her husband Edgar lived in Pearland, Texas for a number of years, and later moved to Huntsville, Texas where they lived for most of their life. She was a member of Cookspring Baptist Church where she enjoyed Bible study, especially that of the Old Testament. One of the greatest joys of her life was being able to travel to the Holy Land with friends.

Miriam was a kind and loving person who unselfishly shared her gift of caregiving with her mother and husband during their lengthy illnesses. Her faith was strong throughout her life which pulled her through the devastating loss of her teenage son, her mother, and her husband, whom she loved with all her heart. Miriam worked as a bookkeeper for a nursing home, and later devoted her life to caring for others.

Miriam loved the Lord and lived her long life trusting and serving Him. Well done, good and faithful servant
