Peyton Mackenzie Irwin

Events

Peyton Mackenzie Irwin was born on September 27, 1999 and met Jesus face to face on March 29, 2019. Because she decided to trust Him with her heart and life on February 10, 2013, we are confident that she is with Him now in Heaven.
To parents Billy and Deanna Irwin, she was their whole world. Those closest to this sweet family described them as three people who truly enjoyed each other's company and spending time together, whether it was eating out together, going to the movies, or playing cards. Her many loved ones described her as having a bright smile, an infectious laugh, and perfectly placed freckles. They will remember her dedication to what she loved, her kindness and compassion toward others, and having just the right amount of sass.
Peyton graduated from Huntsville High School in May 2018, having been a proud member of both the Hornet Marching Band and the Grenadier Guard Drill Team. She became a student at Blinn College, where she was pursuing a degree in Radiologic Technology. Besides being a Hornet through and through, Peyton also enjoyed playing cards, baking, playing Bunco with her Bunco group, being with her friends, and partaking of a good meal of tacos and guacamole. She was also an active member of her youth group at University Heights Baptist Church, participating in her small group, Road Trips, Fusion weekends, and playing BINGO with the senior adults at The Lexington.
Peyton is survived by her loving parents Billy and Deanna Irwin; her maternal grandfather Glen "Pops" Gray; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Betty "Granny" Gray and her paternal grandparents Lawrence and Catherine Irwin.
The celebration of her life will be Friday, April 5, 2019 at Northside Baptist Church with a viewing on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Peyton Irwin Memorial Scholarship Fund. Condolences to the family may be made at www.shmfh.com.
