Robert's Story

Robert Elton Taylor, was born in Bedias, Texas August 18, 1944. He was the son of James Elton and Leatruss Taylor. He passed away in The Woodlands, Texas on May 28, 2017.
Robert proudly served in the US Navy during Vietnam Era. Robert was instrumental in the original build of The American Legion Post 95. He held position such as Judge Advocate, Club Auditor for the post. He was privileged to ride with the American Riders in honor of his fellow veterans. He enjoyed fishing on the lake, and was an avid shuffleboard player. In the mornings he could be found sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee watching his cows. Above all family was his greatest love.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Susie Wooderson. Robert left behind to treasure his memories a loving wife of three years, Patty Taylor. Theresa Crowder and husband Randy, Heath Taylor and fiancé Rachel, Robin Taylor, Nicole Taylor and husband Mat, Pam Eernisse and Husband Randy, James Gates and wife Amanda, and Haley Carter and husband Matt, sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, two brothers Ross Taylor and wife Virginia, and Richard Taylor and wife Jackie.
A celebration service will be held Saturday, June 10th at 11:00 AM at The American Legion Hall.
