Viola Craig Goines, 95, of Huntsville, Texas passed away June 28, 2018. She was born on March 19, 1923 to Albert Craig and Wilma White Craig.
Viola, known to everyone as Grandma will be remembered for her unconditional dedication to her family. She loved going to and having garage sales. She was an avid 42 player and enjoyed playing with her friends at Huntsville Senior Citizen Center. She loved cooking for her family and friends; until she lost her eye sight. Grandma was known for speaking her mind and always had a good story to tell.
Grandma was a faithful member of Huntsville Church of Christ for many years.
Grandma is survived by her son Oscar Goines of Huntsville; son Donald Goines and wife Denise of Murchison, TX; daughter-in-law Diane Goines of Huntsville; grandchildren Michael Goines, Sharon Goines, Gary Goines and wife Angie, Teresa Theobald and husband Gene, Jennifer Mettetal and husband Dusty, Donnie Goines and wife Shelby, Nicolas Preston, Marvin Goines, and Priscilla Goines; 5 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Wilma Craig; husband Marvin Boots Goines; and son Larry Goines.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 1, 2018 in the chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Interment will follow the service at Adickes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
