Donald Gene Burr, age 76, died in Little Rock, Arkansas on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. He was born October 12, 1940 in Madisonville, Texas to Elsie Jean Goodrum Burr and C.W. "Buddy" Burr. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Wilna J. Sullivan Burr. Surviving siblings are Jimmy Burr and wife Kay, Almera McCoslin, Dwight Burr and wife Gloria, Nancy McDonald and husband George and Cynthia Stretz and husband Larry.
Donald's first love was riding horses and working on a ranch. He grew up working cattle on Big 4 Ranch with his Dad and brothers. They have many fond memories of riding horses, spending time with his friends, cutting up and pulling shenanigans on one another. The stories never end, one could write a book. Donald, aka "Zero", was an icon in the field of oil and gas, traveling to many countries and all over the United States. His work ethics were evident in his long standing career and how well he was known throughout the industry. He was the last of a dying breed.
He is survived by his children Debbie Williams and husband James, Donna Jean Moore and husband Don, and Laura Glass and husband Jim. Donald "Daddy", "Granddaddy" and "Grand Pa" will be deeply missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His grandchildren include Kimberlee Williams Santibanez and husband Saul, Heather Williams Penick and husband Nick, Sara Moore and fiancé James Lynaugh, Kallie Moore, Lisa Mott and husband Chris, Tim Glass and wife Tish, LaDawna Risseeuw, Isaac Risseeuw and wife Amy, and Billy Risseeuw and wife Cassi. Also included are his 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Other surviving family members include a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with memorial services immediately following.
