Donna R. Greening was called peacefully to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Heartis Assisted Living Facility in Conroe, Texas, at the age of 88. She was born on September 26, 1928 in St. Louis Michigan, to the late Clifford Graham and Florence (Carmon) Graham. She married Donald Greening, October 19, 1946 in St. Louis, Michigan. He predeceased her October 10, 1996. Donna worked as a storekeeper for nearly 20 years in a small country store in Pleasant Valley, Michigan. She and her husband along with Carl and Vorah Greening, Donalds parents, owned the small store which served Valley residents. For a short time while helping with the store, she worked at Detroiter Mobile Homes in Alma, Michigan on the assembly line. She worked for several years at Grimms Publishing in Shepherd, Michigan, proofing pages of advertisements and she also performed product demonstrations at area grocery and club warehouse stores where her gift of conversation was an important advantage to promoting product lines. Donna possessed a gift of conversation and anyone who touched her life would know that she was never at a loss for words. Donna is survived by one son, Douglas (wife Sandra) Greening of Huntsville, Texas, one grandchild, Craig (wife Lindsay) Greening of College Station, Texas , great grand children Christoper and Ren of College Station, Texas and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved grandson Mark Greening, parents Clifford and Florence (Carmon) Graham, step mother Esther Graham, sister and brother-in-law Velma and George Gotowka, and brother and sister-in-law Louis and Lois Graham. Funeral Services for Donna will be Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in St. Louis, Michigan with Pastor Terri Bentley officiating. Graveside services will follow immediately after at the Oak Gove Cemetery in St. Louis, Michigan. Thereafter a luncheon will be served for family and friends of Donna at the church.
