James Jaime Lerma, 44, of Huntsville, Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 10, 2017. He was born on August 17, 1973 in Fresno, California to Jose Lerma and Nellie Barrientez Lerma.
James will be remembered as a strong willed smart man, The BEST Guy Ever, best father in the whole world, son, brother and brother-in-law. He was elated about the anticipated arrival of his Princess Penny, and being the best Grandpop to her. He brightened each day with his huge smiles, and throwing his Deuces UP. He never angered and always knew exactly what to say.
James was a dedicated father to his son; they shared a passion for football, and he never missed one of his sons games. He loved the Washington Redskins football team. Another great passion for him was riding his chromed out maroon Honda VTX1300 motorcycle; when passing fellow bikers, he would say, Theres my Peeps. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
James had decided to live a healthier lifestyle by becoming vegan; but will be remembered for his culinary talents as a Grill Master, while drinking a Corona with lime.
James served 19 years with Texas Department of Criminal Justice; 13 years at Estelle Unit and the past 6 years with rank of Sergeant, as the Laundry Manager, at the Goree Unit in Huntsville, Texas. He will be missed greatly by his family in grey.
Left to cherish James memory is his father and mother, Jose and Nellie Lerma; wife, Rose Anna Lerma; sons Jaime Lerma, Jr., Matthew Bitara and Andrew Bitara; granddaughter-to-be, Penelope Rose Princess Penny; brother, Jose Angel Lerma, Jr. and wife, Dena; sister, Jennifer Myers and husband, Steve; nephew, Steven Myers; niece, Kayla AnneMarie Myers; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
