Kenneth's Story

Kenneth Randal Harper, 56, of New Waverly died tragically in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, August 11, 2016.
Kenneth was born on August 29, 1959 in Pine Valley, Texas. He was known as a God fearing, family loving, and hardworking man by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Kenneth served as a reverend, uniting in marriage, many couples in the area, including his son and daughter-in-law.
In his youth, Kenneth loved the thrill of riding bulls. As he got older, his passions included hunting, fishing and football.
Kenneth worked as a Certified Master Welder for many years. He gave freely of himself, assisting others when needed. He will be greatly missed by all.
We grieve his passing on earth with confidence that we will see him again in Heaven.
Kenneth is preceded in death by grandparents Robert "Lonnie" Harper and Hortense Harper, father Luke B. Sims, and a host a family members.
Kenneth is survived by his loving mother Maydell Bolding, son Jackie Harper and wife Alix, daughter Debbie Neundorfer and husband Kyle, brothers Ron Moody and wife Denise Bradley, Robert Sims, Clifton Sims and Tim Sims and wife Gina; sisters Eva Jo Lanier, Tammy Paulson, Kristy Holcomb, Cynthia McClure and husband Tim, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves behind his grandsons, or as he liked to call them his "HOT RODS", Braden, Logan and Ethan Harper, as well as grandson Brantley Neundorfer and the arrival of baby Neundorfer.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, August 20th prior to services with services following at 1:00 PM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, New Waverly, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Kenneth Harper at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 Normal Park, Huntsville, Texas 77340 .
