Leatha Freeman-Callahan, a resident of Trinity, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017, in Conroe, Texas. Leatha, age 55, was born on September 28, 1961, in Dallas, Texas to, Jessie Tutson and Earline Freeman. Leatha, who was a God fearing woman that loved all and was loved by all, is survived by a family that will miss her. They include her devoted husband of 21 years; Jasper Callahan, children: Tycoma Willis, Randy Willis, Jasmonequie Callahan, and Shakevia Callahan; grandchildren: Tyran, Tylea, Lil' Randy, and Raena; mother: Earline Freeman; brothers: Danny Freeman (Hazie), Kelvin Hines (Shante), Kenneth Freeman (Amie), and Jessie Freeman; sisters: Evonne Freeman (J.T.), Deborah Woodall (Robert), Barbara Freeman (Honey Bee), Sandra Freeman (Albert), Rosalind Freeman, a host of aunts, uncles, additional relatives and many friends. Friday, May 26, 2017, 12:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. viewing will be at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Leatha's home going celebration will be Saturday, May 27, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church, located at 1229 Avenue J, in Huntsville. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in the Trinity Community Cemetery in Trinity, Texas.
