Evelyn Ann Muirhead Yarbrough was born November 4, 1930, in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas. Ann was an only child born to I.E., and Evelyn Muirhead.
Ann is preceded in death by her wonderful husband of 63-years Ray Yarbrough. She is survived by her children Stephen Ray Yarbrough (Bonnie), Sarah Ann Dunn (Morris), and Susan Leigh Yarbrough. Ann is also survived by six grandchildren Brian and Brandy Grisham, Marcus Dunn, Justin and Jesse Waltz and Anna Yarbrough, and five great grandchildren Brynna, Bryston, Aiden, Jenna, and Ethan.
While living in Bryan, Texas Ann served as the president of the New Commers Club, in Huntsville she was a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolutionary, National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century, and Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She loved to work on her family genealogy, play bridge with all her dear friends, and she loved to travel when she could get away. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ of Huntsville.
Ann passed away at her home at the age of 91. Their daughter Susan was the devoted caregiver and helped the couple stay in their home until death. Ray and Ann wishes were to have a memorial service honoring their lives together. They were childhood sweethearts and spent their entire lives together since they were 15 years old.
Memorial Service will be at Church of Christ on Hwy 30 on February 5th at 10:00 A.M. They will be laid to rest at Ross Cemetery in Mt. Enterprise, Texas.
