Beth Woods Gallagher Obituary

Spring - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beth Woods Gallagher, who passed away on March 27, 2026, in Spring, Texas.

Beth was born on October 5, 1938, in Huntsville, Texas. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered around her family. She attended Huntsville High School and later graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in business.

In her early twenties, Beth moved to Houston with her cousin, Linda, where she began building both her career and her life. It was there that she met the love of her life, Larry James Gallagher, on a blind date. The two were married on August 22, 1964, and shared 49 wonderful years of marriage.

Beth enjoyed a long and dedicated career with ExxonMobil, where she worked for many years before retiring in 2000. Following her retirement, she devoted herself fully to her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a constant source of love, strength, and support, always stepping in selflessly when her family needed her most.

She found joy in gardening and took pride in creating a warm and welcoming home. Beth was also a faithful member of Spring Baptist Church for over 30 years, where she was actively involved in her Sunday School class and Bible study groups.

Beth is survived by her children, Michael Gallagher and his wife Kelly; Kelly Gallagher Comin and her husband Fabricio; and Lori Gallagher Morrison and her husband Kent. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashleigh Gallagher Ridley and her husband Preston; Andrew Gallagher and his wife Kirsten; Austin Gallagher; Madeleine Morrison and her fiancé Louis; McLaine Morrison; and Alexa Comin; as well as her great-grandchildren, James Ridley and Henry Ridley. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Judy Woods, and loving nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry James Gallagher; her parents, J.B. Woods and Willie Cleo Woods; and her brother, Jerry Woods.

Beth will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her quiet strength, and her generous heart. Her legacy lives on in the lives of those she loved so deeply.

Services will be held Friday, April 3, 2026 at 2PM at Spring Baptist Church. Burial will follow at McAdams Cemetery in Huntsville at 4PM on Friday, April 3rd.
