Houston, Texas - Billy Kent Goffney peacefully passed away on November 9, 2024, at his Houston, Texas home.

Billy was born on October 18, 1970, to Booker T. and Cornelia Reece Goffney, in Huntsville, Texas. Bill is survived by his college sweetheart and wife of 31 years - Monica Goffney; children: Brock Kentray and Mia De'Laney; his loving parents; sister: Nadia O'Bryant (Terrance), niece: Sydney; nephew: Bryson; aunts: Essie Mae Frazier, Onita Oliphant, and Joyce Goffney; uncles: Leo Goffney (Cherie), Donald Lee Reece, Thomas Reece; great aunt: Mary Burnet; god-father/uncle Cade Reece; god-sister: Ayesha, god-brother: Tarek, godchildren: Courtney (Claude), Corie, Milton, Tyren (Stephanie), Kyren, Simone, Elijah, and Amira; beloved students, several family members, in-laws, and friends.

Billy's celebration service will be on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Fallbrook Church in Houston, Texas. Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. There will be an Omega Psi Phi ceremony from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., and the funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. His final resting place will be at Jasper Memorial Garden Cemetery, in New Waverly, Texas.
