Deacon Charles O. Willis was born on July 22, 1938, in Huntsville, Texas to Henry and Henrioma Willis. He passed away on June 9, 2020 in The Woodlands, Texas with his loved ones surrounding him.


Charles leaves to cherish memories; his wife of 61 years: Lou Ella Winfrey-Willis; sons: Greg Willis; of Huntsville, TX. and Michael Willis; of Houston, TX.; daughter: Sophia Willis; grandchildren: Tycoma, Shiree and Randy Willis, Christopher O'Bryant and Jasmine Davis; adopted granddaughter: Connie Dickey; great-grandchildren: Randy Jr., Tyran, Jordan, Raena and Tyla Willis, Italy O'Bryant, Christopher Smith and Kirsten Gambrell; great-great grandchildren: Kyng Booker-Willis, Kacey Willis and Kyle Jones; brother: Rev. Thomas Willis (Mary); of Huntsville, sisters: Mary Merchant and Espanola Turner; both of Houston, TX.; sisters-in-law: Gladys Oliphant and Mary Hall; both of Huntsville, TX.; brother-in-law: Charles Winfrey; of Houston, TX., god-brother: Bobbie Gerald Rivers; special friends: Raymond Isaac, Rev. LaVerne Gambrell, Howard Rogers, Rodney Anderson, LJ Cato, Rickey Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


A celebration graveside service will be Saturday, June 13, 2020, 1:00 P.M. at Galilee Cemetery in Huntsville.
