Donald Ray Nash Obituary
Donald Ray Nash was born on October 10, 1932, in Trinity County, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Lee and Dessie, his brothers RD, GE, John Jay and sister Joyce and he will be laid to rest near them in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Trinity County. He graduated from Centerville High School in Trinity County. He attended classes at Pineywoods Business College and graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Business Administration. Later in life he became a Certified Public Accountant. He served in the United State Army from 1952 to 1955 and was asked if he wanted to attend the United State Air Force Academy. In 1959 he married Claudia Nash, and they had a long and wonderful life together of nearly sixty years. They were both active in the church and community and did lots of volunteer work for numerous charitable organizations. Over the years he donated 14 gallon of O negative blood that helped countless people. He is survived by sons Nelson and Benjamin, Granddaughter Emily and numerous nieces and nephews and will be missed by all that knew him.
Visitation Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Service at 11:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church, 111 Sumac Road, Huntsville, Texas 77340. Graveside service will be in Apple Spring at Mt. Zion Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
