Harold Cedric McHenry, Jr.
Harold Cedric McHenry Jr, 69, of Huntsville, TX, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 14, 2019. Harold spent his last morning here on Earth doing what he loved the most - fishing with the love of his life.
Born on September 10, 1950, in Oakdale, LA to Harold and Maudie McHenry. He married his love Debby on December 31, 1989.
Harold was always very competitive when it came to sports and games. In his younger years he was a star high school football player and was planning to go on to play football at Tulane University until a knee injury didn't allow him to continue. Harold served in the United States Marine Corps after he graduated high school. He was always up for a game of dominoes or horseshoes. Over the years Harold competed in numerous bowling leagues. He was proud of two times bowling a perfect game of 300. He spent many days fishing his favorite fishing holes and enjoyed sharing his fishing stories with family and friends. Harold and Debby were looking forward to attending his 50th Class Reunion from Oakdale High School in Louisiana this year. Harold was a member of Riverside Baptist Church for over twenty years.
Harold is preceded in death by his father Harold Cedric McHenry, Sr, mother Maudie (McDaniel) McHenry, son Cory Allen McHenry, and brother Danny McHenry.
He is survived by his loving wife and fishing partner Debby McHenry. Daughter Tonya (Richard) Collins of Tyler, TX; sons Gordon (Kristin) Mizrany and Joshua (Kara) Mizrany of Huntsville, TX. Sisters JoAnn (Robert) Meadows of Many, LA; Norma Miller of Porter, TX; Sharon (Ralph) Zamarron of Baytown, TX; Pam Fontenot of Hayden, AL; and Roxanne (Forrest) Robinson of Many, LA. Grandchildren Caleb, Joshua, and Cory Christian; Addison, Tyler, Gracelynn, and Savannah Mizrany. Great Grandchildren Zane Terrell; Kynlee, Camille, Lexie and Rylee Christian. Harold was eagerly expecting the arrival of his sixth great grandchild in February of 2020. Condolences to the family may be made at www.shmfh.com

Harold always had a fishing story to tell. He had two hobbies that I know of, fishing and bowling, and did both very well. He will be missed. I hope he finds another great spot to fish in Heaven.

Harold was a special person. He enjoyed his family and especially fishing with Debby. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. So sorry for your loss.
