Jimmye Lee Gowling Obituary
Jimmye was born on June 24, 1929, in Opelousas, Louisiana, to James Henry and Ollie Ruth Guillotte Conley.
She married the love of her life, Parkin Allen (Pat) Gowling, and they enjoyed 47 years of marriage and raised their son, John Allen Gowling, in Beaumont. In her later years, Jimmye moved to Huntsville, where she became active in First Baptist Church and served as the Director of the Prayer Ministry.
Jimmye is survived by her son, John and wife Janet of Little Elm, Texas; grandchildren Mike Gowling, Jeannie Gowling Lowe and husband Darrel, and Savannah Gowling; great-grandson Jarroth Lang; sister Connie Brinson; sister-in-law Mary Conley; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pat Gowling; her parents, James Henry and Ollie Ruth Guillotte Conley; her sister Eleanor Conley Spurlock; her brothers John William Conley, James Edward Conley, and Joseph Henry Conley; and great-grandson Corbyn Lowe.
