Mark Reagan White
Mark Reagan White was born June 6, 1956 in Huntsville, Texas. He passed away on July 6, 2019 in Houston, Texas following a long, courageous and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mark was a loving husband, father and lifelong sports fan. He grew up in Lovelady, Texas where he played quarterback for the Lovelady Lions, played little league and pony league baseball in Trinity, Texas and was granted a walk-on spot for the Sam Houston Bearkat baseball team but he needed to work to pay for school instead. In particular, Mark loved any sports that his children played in. Although he traveled for work as a salesman almost weekly, he hardly ever missed a baseball game, football game or dance recital that his children were in. Mark loved living in Huntsville surrounded by his friends and neighbors who he and his family had known for generations. He considered music from the 1960's and 70's the only "real" music ever made, and had a soft spot for animals, caring for cats and dogs in the neighborhood like they were family.
Mark is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joni White, daughter Audra White and sons Joseph White and Reagan White. He is also survived by his parents, Marquis and Jean White, sister Patty Combs and husband Charles, brother Jerry White and wife Mary Ann, and nephew Kyle White. He also leaves a host of extended family and friends to mourn his loss.
Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents, Reagan and V.L. White and Dessaw and Vera Cowart, as well as his parents-in-law, Joseph and Viola Canzoneri.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 5pm at Elkins Lake Baptist Church in Huntsville, TX with burial to follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery located on Highway 30. Visitation will be held immediately prior to the funeral service on July 11 from 4pm to 5pm.
Pall bearers will be Clay Cowart, Eddie Lewis, Duane Gougler, Kelly Sims, Eric Polley, Mark Morgan, Bobby Smith, Porky Young, Ben Kelly, Oscar Gutierrez, Johnny Mac Armstrong, Mike Harrelson, Duane Bradley and Joe Thornton.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to the Aggieland Humane Society. Please visit to make a donation in Mark's name. Condolences to the family may be made at
