Stafford, Texas - Mattie J. Simon was born on February 2, 1934 in Huntsville, Texas, to Thomas and Mattie Carter. She passed away on September 2, 2019, with her family surrounding her, in Stafford, Texas.

Mattie was preceded in death by her husband: Billie G. Simon; her parents; brothers: Samuel, Odell and Thomas; sisters: Angeline, Agnes, Leona and Gertrude.

Mattie is survived by her daughter: Lynda Lansford; grandchildren: Jason Krc (Whitney), Joshua Krc (Nikki), Tiffany Powell (Andrew) and Caleb Morefield, Ethan Lansford (Cheyenne) and Amy Lansford; great-grandchildren: Junior, Emery, Gannon, Dustin, Kaylee and Keaton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended families and friends.

Funeral services for Mattie will be Saturday, September 7, 2019, 12:00 P.M. at Farris Chapel Methodist Church, located at 1651 F.M. 1791, Richards, Texas 77873. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in Farris Cemetery.
