Opal Hardy Anderson
On January 17, 2020, Opal Hardy Anderson, loving mother and grandmother went home to be with the Lord. Opal was born August 31, 1942, in Forkville, Mississippi to John Jay Hardy and Juanita Ponder Hardy. She leaves behind her daughter, Terri Anderson Coleman and husband Max, son, Bailey Anderson III and wife Laura, grandchildren: Kim Linnen, KellieAnne Dercks, Kyle Coleman, Kody Coleman, Bailey Anderson IV (Drew), and Chloe Anderson, great grandchildren: Max Coleman, Grace Dercks, Annsley Dercks, and Coleman Dercks, nieces and nephews: Jana Stanfield, Jeff Hardy, Joel Hardy, and Eddie Evans.

For many years, Opal was a leading broker/realtor in Pasadena including the largest HUD manager in east and central Texas. She was an avid fan of By the Book Quartet, Willie Nelson, The Texas Tenors as well as a football fan of the Houston Texans. Opal spent her last years fulfilling her bucket list.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 23 at 12:00 noon at the First Baptist Church in New Waverly, Texas. Graveside service will be held in Forkville, Mississippi at Opal's childhood church at a future date.

As a volunteer that visited the Lexington on a regular basis I often had the opportunity to talk and visit with Opal. She was such a blessing to me and everyone else. She was always interested in our Bible studies and her other activities. I'm so sorry to I know of her passing and I will greatly miss her.
