Robert Alan Sala Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Alan Sala age 65 of Huntsville, TX after a hard fought battle with appendix cancer. Robert was born in Covington, KY on March 14, 1958. He enlisted in the Marine Corps at the young age of 17 and proudly served his country for 17 years. He married his childhood sweetheart, Barbara, in 1983. From that union they welcomed three beloved children into the world. After his career in the Marine Corps he then went on to work for TDCJ-ID and retired after 20 years of service. He loved ocean fishing, gardening, traveling, listening to music, visiting with the neighbors and spending time with his family and friends. Robert is survived by his wife Barbara of 40 years, his daughter Colleen Anthis (husband Rigel), daughter Sarah McDonald (husband Michael), son Joseph Sala, two grandchildren, Clark and Calla Anthis, his mother Velma Sala, sister Lisa Sala and brother Mark Sala, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. We all greatly appreciated his loving personality, fun sense of humor, and endless wisdom. He is resting peacefully and in perfect health with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and his family will miss him dearly until they are reunited again.
