Coldspring - Sandra Jean Davis Furr was born October 8th, 1953, to the late Edd Davis and Novella Reescano Carter in Liberty, Texas. She grew up in a loving family. Sandra attended and received her formal education in the public schools of Hardin ISD graduating in 1972.

Sandra accepted Christ at an early age. She united with the body of Christ, at Green Chapel Baptist Church in Romayor, Texas, under the leadership of the late Pastor Carlisle and was baptized.

In 1989, Sandra, being led by the spirit, united with Pleasant Rose Holiness Church after meeting the natural love of her life, Pastor Charles R. Furr, Sr. Sandra and Charles united in holy matrimony on January 17, 1984. From this union, a son was born. Sandra loved God and was a fierce advocate in the kingdom of God. Sandra worked diligently in the church ministry. She was a very supportive pastor's wife, usher, choir member, kitchen aide, whatever her hands found that needed to be done, she did. Sandra loved cooking and did it well. She was an avid all-around sports fan as she herself was an outstanding athlete.

Sandra was employed with Shepherd ISD, where she dedicated approximately 28 years before retirement. While there, she worked in both the custodial and food service departments.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Robert Carter, James Davis and Kenneth Davis, two sisters, Janice Hamilton and Samatha Nickson.

Sandra left to cherish her memory her husband, Pastor Charles R. Furr, Sr; her children, daughters, Makesha Jordan, Ramona Evans; son, Charles R. Furr, Jr. (Stephanie), sisters, Brenda Bennett, Rose Mary Bryant (Michael), brothers, Oscar Carter (Viola), Ray Carter (Caroline), Bryant Carter; grandchildren, Aaliyah Brown, Morris R. Jordan, McKinnley Evans, honorary granddaughter, Jakala Glaze(great niece), Dylan Jiles, Kedrick Spivey, Kelton Spivey, Kam'rom Spivey, Jaquin Butler, honorary great-granddaughter/great niece, Imerii Tillis, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
