Huntsville, Texas - Vickie Brewer passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family June 26, 2025.

Born in Odem Texas, she was the second of eight siblings whose strong bond remained a cornerstone of her life.

Vickie shared a beautiful life with her husband of 64 years, Loren Brewer whose military service took them all over the country.

A devoted member of the Catholic Church, Vickie lived her faith daily. Throughout the years, she served as a member of the Catholic Daughters, a catechist, a member of St. Vincent DePaul, a parish council member, and an office volunteer. Her faith was the quiet, guiding light behind all that she did.

Giving was the theme of her life in her work as well. She taught GED and ESL classes, and in the 80's she assisted immigrants through the amnesty program to apply for citizenship. She was very proud of her work helping adults improve their lives through education.

Her many pastimes including bowling, reading, playing card and board games, and quilting.

She is survived by her husband, children Rebecca, Laurie, Thomas, Robert and Mark as well as her grandchildren.
