Wahren Edward Massey died at his home on November 29, 2018 in Trinity, Texas surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born April 14, 1937 in Conroe, Texas to Annie Mae Collier and Arthur Edward Massey.

He worked for Kinder Morgan for 42 years until he retired. After retirement Wahren went to work as a correctional officer for TDCJ for 5 years. He loved sitting outside, gardening, and taking care of his animals.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years Betty Elizabeth Massey, sisters Louise McGee and Inez McGee, daughters Sharon Cheney, Gloria Dell Brooks, and Rebekah Harper and husband Dwayne Harper, son Claude Williamson, grandchildren Kyle Hardy and wife Jessica, Robert Brooks and wife Sarah, Jessica Dean and husband Jay, D.J. Harper and wife Jolynn, Layne Harper Lee, Nicole Hardy, Jason Hardy, Rusty Hanson, Shannon Keenright, Keith Maliff, Mark Cheney, Brooke Cheney, Kimberly Maliff, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
